TENDER FOR THE SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF SOLAR SUBMERSIBLE PUMP SYSTEMS, CONSTRUCTION OF AN ABLUTION BLOCK AND CONSTRUCTION OF A COMMUNITY HALL

Korea Food for the Hungry International Zambia (KFHI-Zambia) invites suitably qualified and experienced contractors to submit competitive quotations for the following projects:

1. Supply and Installation of a Solar Submersible Pump System at Makuku B Borehole, Chikumbi, Masaiti District.
2. Supply and Installation of a Solar Submersible Pump System at Mulayata Borehole, Chikumbi, Masaiti District.
3. Upgrade of the Water System from ZESCO-Powered to a Hybrid System (ZESCO and Solar Power) at Mapalo Clinic, Chipulukusu, Ndola District.
4. Construction of an Ablution Block at Bonano Primary School, Ndola District.
5. Construction of a Community Hall at Chipulukusu, Ndola District.

1. SCOPE OF WORKS

A. Makuku B Water Project

The Makuku B Water Project involves the supply and installation of a water storage tank stand, installation of a solar-powered submersible pump system, and construction of a protective wire-mesh fence around the water infrastructure.

B. Mulayata Water Project

The Mulayata Water Project involves the supply and installation of a water storage tank stand, installation of a solar-powered submersible pump system, and construction of a protective wire-mesh fence around the water infrastructure.

C. Mapalo Clinic Water Project

The Mapalo Clinic Water Project involves the upgrade of the existing ZESCO-powered water system to a hybrid water supply system using both ZESCO electricity and solar power. The works shall include the supply and installation of the necessary solar panels, solar-compatible equipment, controls, connections and associated components required to integrate the solar system with the existing ZESCO-powered water system.

D. Bonano Primary School Ablution Block

The project involves the construction of an ablution block at Bonano Primary School, including all associated civil, structural, plumbing, drainage and finishing works as specified in the detailed solicitation documents.

E. Chipulukusu Community Hall

The project involves the construction of a community hall at Chipulukusu, Ndola District, including all associated civil, structural, roofing, electrical, plumbing, flooring, ceiling, doors, windows, painting, external works and other finishing works as specified in the detailed solicitation documents.

2. MANDATORY ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Interested bidders must submit the following documents:

• Valid PACRA Certificate of Incorporation/Registration.
• Valid ZRA Tax Clearance Certificate.
• Valid NCC Registration Certificate in the appropriate category and grade.
• Evidence of at least two (2) successfully completed similar projects within the last five years, including completion certificates, contracts or client references.
• Company profile, including details/CVs of key technical personnel and client references.
• Valid EIZ registration for the responsible engineer, where engineering design, certification or professional supervision is required.
• Completed financial quotation/BOQ.
• Detailed construction and/or installation methodology.

3. SITE VISIT

A site visit may be arranged upon request for interested bidders who wish to inspect and assess the proposed project sites before submitting their quotations.

Site visits will be conducted by prior appointment and must be requested by 3rd September 2026.

5. SUBMISSION OF BIDS

Bids must be submitted electronically to the Procurement Department through kfhizam.bidding@gmail.com no later than 3 September 2026.

Late submissions will not be considered.

Bidders must clearly indicate the name of the project in the subject line of the email.
