Shop Assistant

The role

Assisting the Shop Attendant with the day-to-day operations of the shop, supporting stock management, maintaining store presentation, and delivering excellent customer service while helping grow the customer base.

 Key Responsibilities

·       Assist with stock and sales records as directed by the Shop Attendant.

·       Provide accurate product information and guide customers in making

purchasing decisions.

·       Engage customers, promote products, and actively recruit new

customers to increase sales.

·       Support daily sales activities and customer service.

·       Assist with FIFO/FEFO practices and report damaged or expired stock.

·       Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and attractive product displays.

·       Support receiving, shelving, replenishing, and counting stock.

·       Assist the Shop Attendant with daily store operations.

Key Requirements

·       Grade 12 Certificate

·       Certificate in sales and marketing or any related field is an added

advantage.

·       Excellent customer relations

·       Attention to detail.

·       Excellent communication skills

·       At least 2 years’ work experience as a Shop Attendant or related field

·       Computer literate

·       Able to speak Swahili for the Kasumbalesa is a preferred
