ABOUT JS HR CONSULTING SERVICES

JS HR Consulting Services provides HR compliance, advisory, and consulting support to businesses across Zambia — including recruitment, payroll processing, labour law compliance, HR policy development, and training. We're building a growing pipeline of SME and corporate clients, and we're looking for a driven Sales & Marketing Officer to join our team on a salary plus commission basis — generating consistent, qualified leads and converting them into long-term clients.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

●    Identify and contact at least 15–20 potential clients per month (SMEs and businesses in Lusaka and surrounding areas) through phone calls, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, and in-person visits

●    Present and explain JS HR Consulting Services' offerings to prospective clients — HR compliance advisory, payroll processing, recruitment support, HR policy development, performance management, and training/masterclasses

●    Follow up on every lead within 48 hours of first contact, and keep following up until a decision is reached

●    Prepare and send quotations, proposals, or service information to interested prospects, with support from the JS HR team where needed

●    Negotiate and close service agreements with new clients, then hand over signed clients to the HR team for Onboarding.

●    Attend business networking events, SME forums, and trade association meetings in Lusaka to build relationships and generate leads

●    Keep a written or spreadsheet record of every lead, contact made, and outcome, and submit a weekly pipeline update to management

●    Ask every closed client for at least one referral, and follow up on those referrals

●    Identify and report on new sectors, business associations, or client types that JS HR Consulting Services should be targeting

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

●    Strong communication and persuasion skills, with the confidence to open doors cold

●    Comfortable with online/social selling (WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.) and in-person networking

●    A natural lead generator — someone who is always building a pipeline, not just waiting for inbound interest

●    Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision and stay motivated by results

●    Prior sales, marketing, or business development experience is an advantage

●    Must have your own laptop and reliable internet access

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIS)

This role is results-driven. Performance will be tracked monthly against the following targets:

●    Generate a minimum of 20 new qualified leads per month across HR consulting service lines

●    Convert at least 15% of qualified leads into paying clients or signed engagements

●    Close a minimum of 2 new clients per month as the baseline target, with 3+ as the goal for strong performance

●    Achieve a minimum monthly sales value target, agreed and reviewed with JS HR Consulting Services

●    Maintain a pipeline record updated weekly, with no lead left un-followed-up for more than 5 working days

●    Generate at least 2 client referrals per month from existing relationships or networking activity

Consistent achievement of these targets is expected for the role to remain commercially viable long-term, and strong performers will have the opportunity to grow into a larger business development role as JS HR Consulting Services scales.

COMPENSATION

Monthly Salary: K2,000 paid monthly regardless of sales performance.

Commission: 30% commission on the value of sales generated from each client secured, once the monthly KPI targets below are met.

This role offers the security of a guaranteed base salary, with meaningful, uncapped commission for hitting and exceeding monthly targets — rewarding consistent performers without putting income entirely at risk while the client pipeline is being built.
