Our Client in the financial services sector is sourcing for an experienced and results-oriented Risk and Compliance Manager to join the team.
This is a management opportunity for a professional who will play a key role in strengthening enterprise risk management, regulatory compliance, internal controls and organizational resilience, while promoting a strong culture of integrity and risk awareness.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing the Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
- Leading the identification, assessment and monitoring of strategic, operational, financial and compliance risks.
- Maintaining the corporate risk register and monitoring Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).
- Ensuring compliance with Bank of Zambia requirements and other applicable laws and regulations.
- Developing and reviewing risk management and compliance policies.
- Coordinating compliance monitoring reviews across branches and departments.
- Developing and implementing fraud prevention and fraud risk management initiatives.
- Coordinating investigations into significant compliance and fraud incidents.
- Developing and maintaining Business Continuity and Operational Resilience plans.
- Preparing risk and compliance reports for Senior Management and the Board.
- Providing risk and compliance advice on new products and business initiatives.
- Promoting a strong culture of ethics, compliance and risk awareness.
- Building and leading the Risk and Compliance function as the organization grows.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, Banking, Business Administration, Economics, Law or a related discipline.
- A relevant professional qualification such as CIA, ACCA, CIMA, ICAZ or an equivalent certification will be an added advantage.
- At least 5 years' experience in Risk Management, Compliance, Internal Audit or Financial Services.
- At least 3 years' experience in a supervisory or management role.
- Experience in a regulated financial institution or microfinance environment will be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Risk Management.
- Excellent analytical, report-writing and communication skills.
- High ethical standards, integrity and sound professional judgement.
