Rigger

Trade Test in Rigging, authenticated by ZAQA .

At least 5 years’ experience in structural construction industry.

At least 3 years’ experience in rigging position.

Inspection of all lifting equipment and fall arrest equipment and recording on a register.

Affixing and securing of steel wire and nylon slings.

Supervision of the assembly & erection of structural and mechanical items.

Working on elevated positions with fall arrest equipment.

Installation of Rigging & Lifting equipment (Chain blocks, Coffin Hoists etc.).

Rigging of structural, mechanical or piping items into position using lifting / rigging tackle.

Co-ordination of mobile cranes during their operation when lifting activities are taking place.

Good knowledge of safety procedures on a construction site.
