You'll be the technical backbone of our service delivery, installing, maintaining and repairing commercial refrigeration equipment at client sites — from walk-in cold rooms and display cabinets to ice machines and QSR kitchen refrigeration. This role suits a hands-on technician with solid commercial refrigeration experience who takes pride in getting equipment back up and running quickly and doing the job right the first time.

Key Responsibilities

•     Install, service, maintain and repair commercial refrigeration equipment (cold rooms, walk-in freezers/coolers, display cabinets, ice machines and related systems) for QSR, supermarket and general commercial clients.

•     Diagnose mechanical, electrical and refrigerant-circuit faults efficiently and carry out effective repairs.

•     Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance to minimise breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.

•     Respond promptly to breakdown call-outs, including after-hours and on-call work as required.

•     Handle refrigerants safely and in line with health, safety and environmental regulations.

•     Complete accurate job cards, service reports and client documentation for each visit.

•     Communicate professionally with clients on-site, explaining faults, repairs and recommendations clearly.

•     Identify and order required parts and manage workshop stock responsibly.

•     Provide supervision, guidance and on-the-job mentoring to junior technicians and apprentices.

What We're Looking For

•     3–5+ years' hands-on experience in commercial refrigeration (QSR, supermarket, cold room or general commercial settings preferred).

•     Recognised trade certificate/qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (or equivalent).

•     Solid working knowledge of refrigerants, compressors, electrical controls and refrigeration circuits.

•     Valid driver's license, with a clean driving record.

•     Willingness to be on a call-out roster and work after-hours when needed.

•     Strong troubleshooting ability and confidence working independently on-site.

•     Good communication skills and a professional, customer-focused manner.

•     A team player who can support the business's growth though quality focussed contributions.
