Position: Assistant Procurement Officer (Procurement & Logistics)

Location: Kalulushi, Zambia

Rongxing Investment Limited is seeking a dedicated, organized, and self-motivated Assistant Procurement Officer with knowledge and experience in procurement and logistics to join our growing team. The successful candidate will support the procurement department in sourcing goods and services while coordinating logistics activities to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in sourcing suppliers and obtaining quotations for goods and services.
• Prepare purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and procurement documentation.
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of orders.
• Coordinate transportation and logistics for incoming and outgoing goods.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in stock replenishment.
• Maintain accurate procurement and logistics records.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.
• Liaise with internal departments to understand procurement requirements.
• Track shipments and resolve any logistics or delivery issues.
• Assist in supplier evaluation and performance monitoring.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Procurement Manager.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Procurement & Supply, Purchasing & Supply, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 2 years' experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain operations.
• Membership with the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS) is an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of procurement procedures and logistics coordination.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
• Experience in the mining or manufacturing sector will be an added advantage.
