Operation Officer

1.  OPERATION OFFICER.

Key responsibilities

·        Plan and allocate trucks, drivers, and routes daily. Ensure timely loading, dispatch, and delivery of goods.

·        Monitor fuel consumption, mileage, and maintenance costs per trip. Investigate excess fuel use, breakdowns, and pilferage. Work to reduce operating costs.

·        Prepare daily/weekly reports: trip sheets, logbooks, waybills, maintenance records, and incident reports. Ensure all paperwork is complete for Finance and Compliance.

·        Coordinate with customers, warehouses, and milling plants for loading/offloading. Handle client complaints and ensure good service delivery to protect company reputation.

Qualifications

·        Diploma or Degree in Transport, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Administration.

·        Minimum 3 years’ experience, in transport operations will be added advantage.

·        Good understanding of Zambian Road Traffic Act, RTSA regulations, and fleet management systems/GPS tracking.

·        Strong organizational, reporting, and problem-solving skills.

·        Must be able to handle pressure and meet deadlines.

·        Must have good personal reputation - no record of fraud or misconduct.

·        Proficient in Excel, fleet management software, and report writing.
