Hydropower Engineer (X1)

The overall job purpose is to maintain and repair water and electrical systems on the Company's premises.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.    Responsible for the daily maintenance and repair of water and electricity systems within the company premises.

2.    Assist in the management of construction projects of the Company and the management of local employees.

3.    Assist Chinese engineers with construction works, including planning of new construction, maintenance and renovation projects.

4.    Daily management, skills training and development of local employees.

5.    Assist Chinese engineers with any other related work.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

1. - Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or above in Water Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related field.
2. - Minimum three (03) years of experience in water engineering, electricity installation and construction management, as well as over three (03) years of experience in water circuit and equipment maintenance.
3. - Resilient and a strong sense of safety awareness, obedience to leadership management, and a strong sense of responsibility.
4. - Experienced in independently managing projects and have rich experience in employee/team management.
5. - Proficient in the maintenance and repair of transformers, generators, photovoltaic systems, motors, water heaters, and switch circuits.
6. - Proficient in operating Microsoft Office software, CAD drawing software, and familiar with various electrical appliances and related construction materials.
7. - Familiar with construction-related standards.
8. - Residents of Ndola and the Copperbelt are preferred.
