Health & Safety Officer

Job Summary:

Implement and monitor HES policies, procedures and project requirements on site to ensure a safe, compliant and environmentally responsible workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

· Implement and monitor HES policies, procedures and project requirements on site.

· Conduct daily site inspections, identify hazards and follow up on corrective actions.

· Monitor high-risk activities: working at height, lifting, excavation, hot work and electrical works.

· Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks and HES awareness training.

· Ensure proper PPE use and compliance with safe work practices.

· Assist with incident, accident and near-miss investigations and reporting.

· Monitor environmental controls, waste management and pollution prevention.

· Support emergency preparedness, drills and response activities.

· Maintain HES records, reports and inspection checklists.

· Monitor subcontractors' compliance with HES requirements.

Requirements:

· Minimum 2 years' experience as a Safety/HES Officer in construction.

· Knowledge of HES regulations, risk assessment and incident investigation.

· Strong communication, reporting and monitoring skills.

· Relevant safety certification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) preferred.

· Must be available to start immediately.
