Finance Officer Intern

VVOB – education for development is an international non-profit organisation with over 40 years’ experience in strengthening the quality of education systems in Africa, Asia and South America in close partnership with ministries of education and their institutions. We are looking for a Finance Officer Intern who will operate from our office in Lusaka. The Finance Officer Intern will collaborate with the Finance team and other departments within the Country Office to ensure effective coordination and alignment of financial and operational processes.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide accounting and administrative support, including reporting, bookkeeping.
• Ensure timely payments to partners and providers and review the timely cash position of our local accounts.
• Administer the budget, contract management system, and inventory asset list.
• Facilitate continuous improvement, knowledge building and knowledge sharing on financial operations. 

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance/business management, or other relevant field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in financial management, specifically in accounting and procurement.
• Excellent computer skills in MS Office and ERP or other financial systems
• Fluent in English + based on country needs.
