Data Analyst

The Role

The Data Analyst will be  responsible for ensuring operational excellence in both the short and long run of the business through cost controlling and monitoring, proper forecasting and planning, timely reporting for aiding in decision making and margin protection for profit maximization.

 Key Responsibilities:

• - Tracking and monitoring key sales performance metrics such as sales volume, revenue and average selling price to produce insightful and accurate sales performance reports to aid decision-making.
• -  Evaluation of product promotions and discounts to ensure that they make commercial sense to the business whilst still delivering value to the end customer.
• - Synthesize market intelligence and generate useful information and actionable recommendations to aid in better decision-making.
• - Generate daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual Key performance indicator reports for management.
• - Generate Profitability reports for all cost centers.
• - Contribute to operational efficiency by implementing cost control measures and ensuring that departmental expenditure remains within the set budget.
• - Contribute to the maximization of the company’s profit in an optimum way that will yield good margin realization

 Key Requirements

• - Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, finance or any related field
• - 3 years’ experience in data analytics and planning
• - Professional certification in accounting eg. CPA/ACCA would be an added advantage.
• - Attention to detail with the ability to plan, organize, prioritize and multi-task
•  - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• - Proficiency in MS Word, MS- PowerPoint, and MS Excel for business analysis
• - Team player, high level of integrity and critical thinker
• - Effective communication skills
