CHINESE TRANSLATOR

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

1. Translating spoken communication between Chinese and English accurately and professionally.
2. Translating documents, reports, notices, instructions, letters and other company materials from Chinese to English and vice versa.
3. Providing interpretation during meetings, training sessions and site activities.
4. Assisting Chinese management and Zambian employees to communicate effectively.
5. Supporting the Human Resources Department with translation of HR-related documents and employee communications.
6. Translating safety instructions and ensuring employees understand important workplace safety information.
7. Assisting with communication between supervisors, employees, contractors and management.
8. Maintaining confidentiality of company and employee information.
9. Providing interpretation during disciplinary meetings, where required.
10. Performing any other translation and interpretation duties assigned by Management.
