About the Role:

This is a full-time, on-site internship based in Lusaka Province, Zambia. The intern will support day-to-day business operations across the following areas:

🔹 Finance & Admin – Reconciliations, petty cash, credit control, and support with monthly management accounts

🔹 Underwriting – Processing and support of underwriting workflows

🔹 Claims – Claims management, processing, and follow-up

🔹 New Business & Renewals – Supporting new business acquisition and renewal placement

🔹 Marketing & Client Relations – Supporting marketing activities and building strong client and insurer relationships

🔹 Operations – Supporting office operations, compliance tasks, and liaising with auditors and regulatory bodies

You'll also gather and analyze client information, prepare basic insurance and risk documentation, maintain accurate records, support simple business reporting, and learn about insurance products and risk management processes along the way.

Qualifications:

✅ Strong analytical skills to interpret data, support risk assessments, and assist with basic reporting

✅ Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client and team engagement

✅ Solid customer service skills

✅ Foundational business understanding to support operations and documentation

✅ Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

✅ Ability to learn quickly, take initiative, and work well in a structured office environment

✅ Basic proficiency with office software (word processing, spreadsheets, email)

✅ Diploma or Degree in Social Sciences, Business, Finance, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field (currently pursuing or recently completed)
