Back Office Team Lead

The Back office Team Lead is responsible for general banking

operations at the branch to ensure adherence to operational policies and procedures, regulatory requirements and prevent operational lapses. He/she reports to the Branch Manager and the Banking Services Manager.

 . 

Essential duties and responsibilities includes:

• Supervision and control of the Branch Operations support function to enhance productivity of business teams and ensure adherence to operational and other relevant policies.
• Responsible for front office operations and ensure due diligence in operational procedures, thereby reducing exceptions in routine branch audit/Risk inspections and examinations.
• Review the accounts opened and check conformity to KYC/AML guidelines to prevent undue bank exposures.
• Ensure security documents /collateral is obtained from loan customers and forwarded to Credit Department for safe custody.
• Controls and responsible for all cash movements.
• Authorizes back office and Teller transactions

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Banking and Finance or any
• Related Business qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years work experience in
• Financial/banking sector with a minimum of 2years as a teller or any related position.
• Strong knowledge of banking operations,
• Products and processes.
• Practical knowledge of Core Banking applications.
