WE’RE HIRING — RESTAURANT Assistant MANAGER / SHIFT MANAGER

Hangry Bites – Lusaka

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Assistant Manager / Shift Manager to join our growing Quick Service Restaurant team.

We need someone who is confident leading a busy restaurant operation, managing staff, controlling stock and maintaining excellent standards of food quality and customer service.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Grade 12 Certificate

• 5+ years' proven experience working in a restaurant or Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) environment

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a Restaurant Management, Supervisor or Shift Leader position

• Proven experience with stock management, stock counts, inventory control and variance reporting

• Proven ability to lead, motivate, roster, train and discipline staff

• Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards

• Experience with cash-ups, POS systems and daily sales reconciliation

• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle complaints professionally

• Ability to think quickly and confidently resolve operational, staff and customer issues

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

• Reliable, responsible and comfortable taking accountability for a shift

• An open mindset and willingness to learn, adapt and continuously improve operations

• Must stay within the areas around Eastpark Mall or be able to independently get to work with no issues of travel

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO:

Takes ownership rather than waiting to be told what to do. Leads from the front, maintains standards during busy periods and understands that great restaurant management means balancing people, product, stock, service and profitability.

Previous experience in a high-volume QSR, fast-food restaurant or similar operation will be highly advantageous.
