Agronomy Clerk

Nanga Farms Limited is a large, irrigated sugarcane estate situated 25Km Northeast of Mazabuka in the Southern Province of Zambia. The company is part of the ABF Sugar Group, and its main activities are the cultivation of 2,860 hectares of sugarcane and the rearing of 1,400 head of cattle. The Company now invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the position of:

Agronomy Clerk x1 – Fixed Term Contract

Permanent Role Reporting to – Farm Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•             Implements the assignment given by the farm manager.

•              Keeping section records,

•              Time book management,

•              Capturing of Stores requisition,

•              Reconciliation of stores drawing.

•              Capturing leave days and farm (fertilizer and inputs in SAP

•              Capturing of irrigation, rainfall, herbicides and fertilizer application reports in CanePro.

•              Issuing cane tools and PPE to the general workers.

•              Preparation of SHERQ minutes for the section.

•              Writing of monthly departmental reports.

•              Generate the Agronomy weekly and monthly reports

Knowledge & Skills Required

•              Able to work with Microsoft word, Excel, Power point, Outlook.

•              Good communication skills

•              Relate well with other colleagues.

•              Work with minimum supervision

 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE  

•             Diploma in record management or related qualification

•             Full grade 12 certificate with at least 5 credits

•              Zambian with Green National Registration Card

•              With experience in the Job
