ACCOUNTANT

1.      Filing returns for all statutory payments – PAYE, NAPSA, NHIMA, FSG, WHT, VAT, Income Tax, Pension among other.

2.      Posting of journals to Pastel

3.      Analysing ALL bank statements, coding and posting transactions to the relevant accounts

4.      Compile Financial Statements per current format for review by Departmental Head

5.      Timely processing of statutory payments.

6.      Maintenance of Asset Register.

7.      Reconciliation of Corporate Debtors.

8.      Analysing ALL bank statements, coding and posting transactions to the relevant accounts

9.      Any other duties to be assigned from time to time.

REQUIREMENTS

Education & Professional Certification

·      Degree / Diploma: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or full professional qualification (ACCA Level 2/3, CIMA, or ZICA Advisory level).

·      Professional Membership: Active registration and valid practicing license with the relevant accounting regulatory body (e.g., ZICA).

Work Experience

·      Financial Accounting: 3–5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting, accounts payable, payroll management, and general ledger postings.

Technical & Operational Skills

·      Accounting Software: Advanced proficiency in Sage Pastel Accounting.

·      Financial Reporting: Proficiency in preparing management accounts, draft financial statements, store reconciliations, and budgeting schedules.

·      Excel & Analytical Tools: High proficiency in Microsoft Excel for complex data manipulation, reconciliation sheets, and tracking.
